Dual Education System:

  • Our approach to programme delivery involves integrating theoretical and practical training to effectively equip our students with the necessary skills and knowledge for the professional environment. Since its establishment in 2004, we have consistently adhered to this fundamental teaching strategy, which is why our students are widely sought after by the industry.

Providing More for You Than You Paid

To meet the increasing need for home delivery services in the food and beverages industry, we are enhancing the culinary and bakery programmes by providing our students with comprehensive training in digital marketing. This will empower them to establish their own online enterprises after graduation, should they choose to do so.

Our Digital Marketing programme equips students with the necessary skills to obtain industry certifications, including Google AdWords. These certifications can be obtained by successfully completing the online assessment, which is typically part of a paid professional training course attended by working professionals.

Our Journey: From Green Visionaries to Skills Education Leaders

KAGC College’s story began in 2006 with a bold vision and a green heart. Founded as a pioneer in green technology education, the college originally set out to contribute to sustainable development in Malaysia. As the world evolved, so did KAGC – by 2009, we expanded into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), focusing on skills-based programs that meet industry needs. In 2017, armed with a decade of experience, we officially grew our curriculum to include a wide range of vocational courses beyond green tech, spanning hospitality, tourism, culinary arts, pastry & bakery, and digital marketing.

With backing from the Malaysian government (KAGC is accredited by the Department of Skills Development under the Ministry of Human Resources), we forged partnerships with prominent institutions and agencies to ensure our programs are industry-acclaimed and future-focused.

What started as a small college with a big dream has today become a leading higher-learning institution in Malaysia specializing in skills development across multiple fields. Our journey is one of continuous adaptation and growth – always staying one step ahead to equip the next generation with the tools they need for tomorrow.

Our Mission and Values: Education that Empowers

From the beginning, KAGC’s mission has been clear: to empower students with equal parts knowledge and real-world skill. We believe education must go beyond textbooks. That’s why we adopted a dual education approach – blending theory with extensive practical training – as our fundamental teaching philosophy. (In fact, we’ve held this belief from day one, long before “TVET” became a buzzword.) Students at KAGC don’t just learn in classrooms; they learn by doing. Whether it’s cooking in a professional kitchen, managing an event, crafting a digital marketing campaign, or guiding a live tour group, our students are constantly applying what they learn in realistic settings. This approach builds confidence, competence, and a portfolio of experience before graduation. Our core values – innovation, hands-on experience, and industry relevance – are reflected in every course.

We “go the extra mile” to keep our curriculum up-to-date with evolving industry trends.

For example, as e-commerce and social media rose in importance, we integrated digital marketing modules into traditionally non-digital programs (even our culinary and bakery students learn the basics of online marketing, so they can promote their future businesses!). Ultimately, KAGC stands for real skills for real success – we exist to make sure that when a student graduates, they are not only knowledgeable in their field, but also job-ready, adaptable, and confident in their abilities.

Our Programs and Differentiators: Why KAGC Stands Out

What does it mean to attend Malaysia’s No.1 Skill-Based Education College? It means you are joining a college that has led the way in skills education for years. KAGC offers a wide array of programs – from Certificates and Diplomas to Advanced Diplomas – in four main schools: Culinary Arts, Pastry & Bakery, Tourism & Hospitality, and Business & Digital Marketing. All programs are approved and recognized by the relevant authorities, ensuring quality and credibility. For instance, KAGC is officially registered as a Tourism Training Institute with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), and has even earned a 5-star rating from the ministry’s accrediting body for our excellence in training.

We are also affiliated with international accreditation: Since 2019, KAGC obtained accreditation from City College of Bermingham, UK and later Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), UK in 2025 – allowing us to offer a globally recognized Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts & Gastronomy, Advanced Diploma in Pastry & Bakery, Diploma in Hospitality Management and Level 4 Diploma in Digital Marketing. These affiliations mean that a KAGC education meets high standards, and our students often earn dual certifications (Malaysian skill certificates and UK certifications) that give them an edge in the job market.

Beyond paperwork and approvals, what truly differentiates KAGC is our intimate connection with the industry. We collaborate closely with employers and industry partners in designing our curriculum. Advisory panels and regular feedback from the field ensure that what you learn at KAGC is exactly what employers are looking for.

Our instructors are not just teachers

They are seasoned professionals (many with postgraduate qualifications and international experience) who bring real-life insights into the classroom. Class sizes are kept reasonable for hands-on subjects, so every student gets guidance and the chance to practice extensively. From fully equipped training kitchens and mock hotel front desks to computer labs with the latest marketing software, our campus facilities simulate professional environments. This means by the time you finish your course, you’re already comfortable with the tools, techniques, and pace of the working world.

Our Achievements: Proven Success in Every Field

At KAGC, we don’t just promise success – we have a track record to prove it. Since 2010, we have consistently achieved a 100% job placement rate for our graduates. This is not a typo or an exaggeration – literally every single KAGC graduate for well over a decade has secured full-time employment or launched their own venture in their field. How do we do this? It starts with the quality and relevance of our training, and it’s bolstered by our dedicated Career Resources Department, which actively connects students to internship and job opportunities. Every diploma student completes an industry internship as part of their program, often with top companies in Malaysia or abroad. These internships frequently turn into job offers upon graduation.

KAGC is especially proud of the impact our alumni are making in their industries. In Tourism and Hospitality, KAGC has been a trailblazer and the nation’s top producer of licensed tourist guides – in fact, about 65% of Malaysia’s tourist guides were educated at KAGC, the highest of any college. If you’ve ever been on a guided tour in Malaysia, chances are your guide trained with us! This dominance has been consistently reported by the Ministry of Tourism since 2014. Our Culinary Arts and Pastry & Bakery graduates have found sweet success as well – many have gone on to work as chefs and pastry experts in leading F&B establishments, from international hotel chains to famous restaurants and bakeries. These alumni frequently credit KAGC’s rigorous kitchen training and recipe of creativity + discipline for giving them the confidence to shine in high-pressure culinary environments.

In the realm of Digital Marketing, though our program is newer, it’s already making waves. We recognized early on that digital skills would be essential for virtually every industry, so we integrated digital marketing content into various courses around 2020, and launched a full Diploma in Digital Marketing by 2022. This program, developed in partnership with City & Guilds UK in 2022 and later with JPK and Institute of Commercial Management of the UK in 2025, has already produced graduates who landed jobs at prominent companies – Glomac Berhad, Etiqa Insurance, Sunway Group, Offspring, and others have hired KAGC digital marketing grads. Some of our students even secure internships at big-name organizations (e.g., Sime Darby Property, Maybank) during their studies, turning their classroom knowledge into real campaigns for real clients. It’s no surprise that employers often remark on how “industry-ready” KAGC students are – they notice the difference in practical skills and motivation.

Another point of pride is our entrepreneurial alumni

KAGC has nurtured many students who went on to start their own businesses – whether it’s a pastry café, a catering service, or a travel agency. We encourage an entrepreneurial mindset by teaching not just technical skills but also small business management basics. A unique example of our innovative training: in our culinary and bakery courses, we include basic digital marketing training (like how to promote a cafe on social media or manage an online cake store). This way, graduates who dream of opening their own bakery or restaurant are equipped to not only create great food but also to market their brand online. It’s just one more way KAGC prepares students for success in the modern world.

Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today

In summary, KAGC College has carved out a distinctive place in Malaysia’s education landscape: we are “growing tomorrow’s industry leaders today,” true to our motto. Our commitment to hopeful, skill-driven education has impacted countless lives – turning unsure school-leavers into confident professionals with bright futures. For youngsters aged 16–22, KAGC offers an environment where learning is exciting, hands-on, and directly connected to their dreams. For parents, KAGC offers peace of mind, knowing their child is in a college that values practical skills, recognized qualifications, and employability above all else. As we refresh our brand theme and website, our goal remains the same as it was in 2006: to be the launching pad for ambitious youth to achieve their dreams. At KAGC, we don’t just educate – we empower.

We don’t just produce graduates

we produce future chefs, entrepreneurs, digital marketers, hospitality managers, and leaders. This is the KAGC difference, and we’re excited to continue that journey with every new student who walks through our doors, ready to turn their skills into success.
