Our Journey: From Green Visionaries to Skills Education Leaders

KAGC College’s story began in 2006 with a bold vision and a green heart. Founded as a pioneer in green technology education, the college originally set out to contribute to sustainable development in Malaysia. As the world evolved, so did KAGC – by 2009, we expanded into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), focusing on skills-based programs that meet industry needs. In 2017, armed with a decade of experience, we officially grew our curriculum to include a wide range of vocational courses beyond green tech, spanning hospitality, tourism, culinary arts, pastry & bakery, and digital marketing

With backing from the Malaysian government (KAGC is accredited by the Department of Skills Development under the Ministry of Human Resources), we forged partnerships with prominent institutions and agencies to ensure our programs are industry-acclaimed and future-focused.

What started as a small college with a big dream has today become a leading higher-learning institution in Malaysia specializing in skills development across multiple fields. Our journey is one of continuous adaptation and growth – always staying one step ahead to equip the next generation with the tools they need for tomorrow.

Our Mission and Values: Education that Empowers

  • From the beginning, KAGC’s mission has been clear: to empower students with equal parts knowledge and real-world skill. We believe education must go beyond textbooks. That’s why we adopted a dual education approach – blending theory with extensive practical training – as our fundamental teaching philosophy. (In fact, we’ve held this belief from day one, long before “TVET” became a buzzword.) Students at KAGC don’t just learn in classrooms; they learn by doing. Whether it’s cooking in a professional kitchen, managing an event, crafting a digital marketing campaign, or guiding a live tour group, our students are constantly applying what they learn in realistic settings. This approach builds confidence, competence, and a portfolio of experience before graduation. Our core values – innovation, hands-on experience, and industry relevance – are reflected in every course. We “go the extra mile” to keep our curriculum up-to-date with evolving industry trends. For example, as e-commerce and social media rose in importance, we integrated digital marketing modules into traditionally non-digital programs (even our culinary and bakery students learn the basics of online marketing, so they can promote their future businesses!). Ultimately, KAGC stands for real skills for real success – we exist to make sure that when a student graduates, they are not only knowledgeable in their field, but also job-ready, adaptable, and confident in their abilities.
